I've never found anywhere like Ethiopia.
I'm Dejene —. I've travelled a lot of the world, and I've been in the travel business a long time. I've never found anywhere like Ethiopia.
It's the variety that gets me. Coffee from one region tastes nothing like coffee from the next — you can send someone four small bags from four places and watch them taste the difference. The weaving here is its own thing. So is the leather. So is the painting, which goes back further than most countries have existed.
And after years of watching people travel here, I know which of it people actually fall in love with. That's what I put in front of you — not everything Ethiopia makes, just the things I've seen work on somebody who wasn't expecting them.
