Day 2: Drive to Arab Minch through Wolaita Sodo In the morning, after a hearty breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic drive to Arab Minch. Along the way, we’ll make a stop at the fascinating Tiya Stelae, and enjoy lunch in Wolaita Sodo, where you can explore the intriguing Wolayta People Museum. Day 3: Nech Sar National Park and Lake Chamo Boat Trip After breakfast, get ready to explore the nearby Nech Sar National Park, home to a diverse range of wildlife including zebras, gazelles, and antelopes. Following a lunch break in Arab Minch, we’ll embark on a thrilling boat trip on Lake Chamo, where you’ll encounter massive crocodiles, hippos, and a plethora of bird species. Day 4: Drive to Jinka via Key Afar Today, we’ll drive to Jinka, passing through the captivating Konso Village known for its colorful costumes, terraced landscapes (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and intricately carved wooden statues used as grave markers. After a delicious lunch in Konso, we’ll continue our journey to Jinka, where you’ll check in to a cozy resort. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.

Day 5: Excursion to Mursi Village through Mago National Park Experience the unique culture of the Mursi tribe as we venture to their village, famous for the distinctive lip plates worn by Mursi women and the spirited stick fights of young boys (subject to availability). We’ll also explore the magnificent Mago National Park (weather permitting). Return to Jinka for lunch and visit the local village and museum. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the resort.

Day 6: Drive to Turmi, the Vibrant Hammer Tribe Town After breakfast, we’ll embark on a picturesque drive to Turmi. Along the way, we’ll visit an interesting village and explore the bustling market of Key Afer. Arriving in Turmi, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant marketplace (if available). Check in to a charming lodge, enjoy dinner, and spend a peaceful night in Turmi.

Day 7: Excursion to Omorate to Visit the Dassench/Geleb Tribe Embark on an early morning drive to Omorate to meet the fascinating Dassench/Geleb tribe. Take a boat trip on the Omo River and visit their village, gaining insight into their unique way of life. Return to Turmi for lunch, and in the afternoon, explore the captivating Hamer Village, known for its elaborate hairstyles, body paintings, and potentially witness a bull-jumping event. After an eventful day, dinner and overnight stay await you at the lodge.

Day 8: Excursion to Murille to Visit the Karo Village Embark on an early morning drive to Murille, where you’ll encounter the charismatic Karo tribe. Day 9: Drive to Araba Minch via Arebore-Tsamaye After breakfast, we’ll journey to Araba Minch, passing through Arebore-Tsamaye. Delight in the picturesque landscapes and stop for lunch in Konso. Arriving in Araba Minch, check in to a lodge, savor a delectable dinner, and enjoy a final night in the embrace of the Paradise or Swaynes Lodge.

Day 10: Flight Back to Addis Ababa After breakfast, we’ll commence our return journey to Addis Ababa, stopping for a delightful lunch at Lake Langano’s Sabana Beach Resort. In Addis Ababa, seize the opportunity to shop for souvenirs and commemorate your remarkable journey. Finally, we’ll conclude with a memorable farewell dinner before transferring you to Bole International Airport for your return flight home.
